It’s National Coffee Milkshake Day and that means a happy day for Autumn and I!
I love coffee and Autumn is learning to love it so it’s no surprise that we jumped on this day. Of course, we have to celebrate in true Karmic Chaos style which means creating our own shake! One of my all time favorite milkshakes used to be the Jamocha Shake at Arby’s but I can’t do so much dairy and I don’t even want to know what else is in that thing.
We brainstormed and came up with TWO recipes to share with you! That’s right, TWO recipes!!
Coffee Ice Cream
We have a Cuisinart Ice Cream maker and we give use it A LOT. Today is no exception.
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1½ cups brewed coffee, chilled
- 1½ cups coconut milk
- ¼ cup powdered milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- ground coffee to taste
- Combine sugar and powdered milk in a bowl. Slowly add coconut milk and vanilla. Stir in chilled coffee. Pour into ice cream maker and start it. Once ice cream is thickening, add ground coffee (we used about 2 teaspoons). Enjoy or store in freezer.

Choco-Coffee Milkshake by Karmic Chaos
For the milkshake, combine one pint of coffee ice cream with 1 cup of chilled coffee (we brewed it at double strength) and 1 tbsp cocoa powder.
We LOVE this recipe and could not be more pleased with out it turned out. Two new recipes all because we found out about National Coffee Milkshake Day!
