Happy 40th Anniversary Mom & Dad!

My parents celebrate their 40th Anniversary today. They’ve been through so much together – probably a lot my siblings and I don’t even know about = yet they do it together. Please help me pay tribute to my amazing parents on this special day!

Mom and Dad sacrificed a lot for my siblings and I over the years. They have supported us through all kinds of crazy things – good and bad – and continue to do so to this day. I aspire to be the type of parent for my kids that they were for me.

Just a few years later…still so stylish aren’t we? My Mum made those robes we’re wearing……how many people can say their parents made them custom robes??

There are not a lot of pictures of Mom and Dad together over the early years – somebody has to hold the camera! There are a lot of family pictures from our many adventures, though.

1990s

Here’s one of just Mom and Dad on our trip out west. It was sort of an anniversary trip since they went out west for their honeymoon several years before. The siblings and I are clearly old enough on this trip to take pictures.

And the years crept by. Mom and Dad built a house together, their dream house on 5 acres away from the city. I graduated high school in 1996, the twins in 1999.

Wouldn’t you be proud to have three kids out of high school?

If only the kids would leave the house! There’s no empty nesting if they keep coming back…right? Did Mom and Dad get mad or turn us away? Nope. Never.

Mom and Dad have started a new venture that they hope will help others and eventually become a second career. ¬†They could use some support and some help spreading the word! Please check out their awesome blog and share it around – Fisher’s Follies.¬†
