Who’s fallen in love with the edible cookie dough craze? We have and we’ve been formulating our very own recipes for a sweet snack that pleases everybody! This Snickerdoodle recipe is simple and scrumptious!
We bake in this house. It’s a big part of what we do. Eating cookie dough is a part of that – we have to make sure it tastes right, after all. But, all the raw eggs are not great for you, right? Plus, days like today (90 degrees and VERY humid) are not great for using an oven. So, we can make this small batch of edible cookie dough for a sweet treat. The best part is that the kids can make it themselves so it gives them something to entertain the kids while I’m trying to get work done.
I repeat: the kids can make this themselves if they can read a recipe and measure ingredients. IT IS THAT EASY! The following pictures were all done by my kids as they made the dough!
They did not even fight while they gathered ingredients.
Seriously, talk about teamwork. They were quiet as mice. I had no idea they took so many awesome pictures – as a TEAM!
This really is a family affair. I’m fortunate that my kids are home and that they love doing this stuff with me.

Snickerdoodle Edible Cookie Dough
- 3 TBSP butter, melted
- 4 TBSP granulated sugar
- ½ TSP vanilla
- 1+ TBSP milk
- ½ TSP cinnamon
- ½ C flour
- ½ TSP Cinnamon
- 1 TBSP Granulated Sugar
- Mix melted butter and 4 TBSP granulated sugar.
- Add in vanilla, 1TBSP milk, ½ tsp cinnamon.
- Add in flour and more milk if needed.
- Combine ½ TSP Cinnamon and 1 TSP sugar to roll doughballs in if desired.
