Sure it's all the rage but it's more than that. If you make a conscious effort to upcycle and repurpose things you are helping yourself and the world. Instead of tossing t-shirts that nobody in their right mind would wear again, use them to create something else. Learn that a hole under the armpit (or several) does not mean the end of a beloved shirt. By all means, donate whenever you can, pass items on to younger kids and families in need, but before you toss something, be sure you can't upcycle or repurpose it!
What we Upcycle and Repurpose
From men's shirts to men's ties, t-shirts to jeans, we've learned to repurpose clothes to give them second lives. Looking for a facelift in your living room or bedroom? Instead of buying all new furniture, why not see what you can do with the pieces you already have? With chalk paint and milk paint options available, you can refurbish almost anything with just a little elbow grease. The best part? A lot of these options are KID-FRIENDLY solutions! We love to do things as a family the upcycle and repurpose projects are no exception. We will do our best to break things down and give as much information as possible about techniques and where we find inspiration.
As always, if you have any tips, suggestions, or project ideas you'd like to see us attempt, comment or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
